Michelle douglass, WILD BEAST founder and director
Hi, i’m michelle. i set up wild beast in 2026 out of my two passions: storytelling and nature.
I love wowing audiences with Big, Juicy tales about our place on the planet.
extreme expeditions. myths and legends. weird natural history. bonkers scientific discoveries: the best stories entertain us and REVEAL something bigGER about our world.
when i’m not creating content at wild beast, i work at the national trust, europe’s biggest conservation charity, developing new experiences for audiences. I’ve also worked as a producer and journalist at bbc audio and digital including bbc natural history unit, radio 4; bbc sounds; news; radio wales; bbc food and the world service.
i live in bristol with a geordie husband and our two awesome girls. i love outdoor adventures when they end in the pub, rollerskating, and i dream of a getting a cat.
